Honor Blume, PTI, CPAe, CPACP - Proprietor, Canine Stylist, Trainer & PetTech Instructor
Honor started grooming in 1982.  Over the years, she has seen many changes in the industry. "Grooming is like fashion, styles change with the times". As a strong believer in the power of education, she has taken countless classes/seminars both nationally and internationally. Among these, she is especially proud of her Pet Aesthetician certification.

Honor has been married to Douglas since 1985.  They have three wonderful children;  Meghan, Taryn and Colin,  all of whom have worked at the kennel.  The family is owned by an Australian Shepherd, a Yorkshire Terrier, an Irish Water Spaniel, and Miniature Poodle. Honor’s heart dog “Caleb” was a ASCA/AKC Champion. He is in the ASCA Hall of Fame for his breed.
Honor is also a Pet Tech First Aid Instructer and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She is a member of the Berkshire Disaster Animal Response Team (DART). She is also a member of ASCA, IWSCA and ASCNE (breed clubs) and a past Officer and Board member for the Great Barrington Kennel Club. While a member of GBKC, she co-chaired for Responsible Dog Owner’s Days and the annual Health clinic. She also worked the two Annual conformation point shows hosted by the club.

 Patricia L. Thorpe (Tish), CPAe, CPACP - Certified Pet Aesthetician, Playcare Supervisor, Trainer & Massage Technician

Tish has been working at BowMeow since 2001.  She has her animal science degree, is an Internationally trained and Certified Pet Aesthetician (CPAe), is a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider (CPACP), and recognized as a AKC Safety-Certified Groomer. She is a past Officer and Board member of the Great Barrington Kennel Club, Inc. Tish has co-chaired for Responsible Dog Owner’s Days  and their annual Health clinic and worked the two Annual conformation point shows hosted by the club.  She also has held a position on the Board of Directors of the New England Pet Grooming Professionals, Inc., is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, AKC Agility Course Test (ACT) Evaluator, is PetTech Certified, is a member of  Hudson Valley DockDogs, Australian Shepherd Club of America, Inc., Yankee Flyers Dog and Disc Club and Irish Water Spaniel Club of America.  

She has competed with her Australian Shepherds in herding, conformation, Rally O, dock diving, Disc dog, Barn hunts and Agility.  She is involved with Australian Shepherds for their quality to match the standard for the breed. Tish also handled Llyr (Honor’s IWS) in the conformation ring.

Before starting at BowMeow, Tish worked as a horse trainer/care giver, which she continues to do till this day.  She has worked with horse trainers from across the globe.  She grew up in a 5 dog household and had at least 6 horses in the barn at a time.  She has showed horses throughout the Northeast.

Jenna Farmer – Playcare Associate

Jenna started back to work at BowMeow in 2012 after taking some time off to finish college at the University of Connecticut.

Kathleen Segrin CVT – Trainer & K-9 Massage Therapist

In 2008, Kathleen started massage therapy at the BowMeow, in the spring of 2015 she started training for the BowMeow. She has over 45 years of experience working with animals of all shapes and sizes. She is a Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Certified Hydro Technician, Certified Veterinarian Technician & AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. As a active member of multable canine clubs, Kathleen has held seats on the Board of Directors for the Great Barrington Kennel Club Inc. and Hudson River Air Dogs.

Kathleen and husband Douglas started Hilltop Labs in 1979. With a love for their breed, they have put multiple titles over the years on their dogs in field, dock diving, agility, obedience, Rally O and conformation.

Maria Nardi -  Feline Stylist

Maria came back to BowMeow in the Fall of 2016 after working on her own for many years. She learned to groom from Honor just out of high school and went on to study grooming at the Connecticut K-9 Education Center, Inc. ​

Lizzie Hall - Canine Stylist

Lizzie joined the BowMeow team in 2017.
Growing up on a farm, Lizzie's love of animals has continued into her adult life that she shares with her significant other, Chris, and their two daughters Sage and Ivy, dogs, cats, chickens, fish, lizard, bird, and a snake.

Lizzie hold multiple different AKC breed certificates for grooming and has completed and passed 
Module 1: The Science of Skin towards becoming a Certified Pet Aesthetician.

Belle Reel - Playcare Associate & Canine Stylist

Belle joined the BowMeow team in the Summer of 2019.
She started her career in the animal industry in 2016. A lifetime animal lover, growing up with multiple pets in her home. Now she shares her life with West, her pit mix.

Belle specializes in the art of hand stripping, but holds many grooming certificates including her groomer assistant certificate. As a firm believer in continued education she up to date on all the newest techniques and has completed the first step towards becoming a 
Certified Pet Aesthetician.

Alicia Holmes - Playcare Associate & Canine Stylist

Alicia joined the BowMeow team in June 2020.  She lives with her two dogs Harlow and Karma (Cardigan Welsh Corgis) and her cat Muta as well as her flock of Chickens, Geese and Ducks. 

She started bathing and grooming in the spring of 2021 under the guidance and mentorship of Tish and Honor. A certified groomers assistant, Alicia is working towards her pet aesthetician certification under Tish and Honors guidance through Iv San Bernard's Certified Pet Aesthetician program, Passing Module 1: The Science of Skin in the fall of 2021 and 
has numerous grooming certificates to her name.

She competes with her corgis in Barn hunt, Scent work, FastCAT, obedience, agility, and conformation.  She has shown Karma to her AKC Championship and now working on her AKC Grand Championship, as well as placing titles on both corgis. 

Alicia is a member of The Great Barrington Kennel Club and The Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America. Actively participating in GBKC trials and shows, She loves all things dog!
